The Top IFBB Pro Figure Competitors

I gave the top IFBB Bikini competitors their own Hub, so I thought I would do one on the top IFBB figure competitors so far in 2010.
As I have mentioned before, back in 2003, the IFBB created the figure division, which is a lot like fitness competition, but without the routines.
Figure places its emphasis on an athletic physique combined with beauty.
So it's really more like bodybuilding, but with less emphasis on muscle size, and more on muscle tone.
These ladies will generally be bigger than bikini pros, but smaller than bodybuilders.
But even though they are smaller, like their bikini pro counterparts, they train just as hard as the bigger girls, just in a different way.
And several of the women from the figure division have moved over to the bikini division.
In 2003, the first IFBB-sanctioned figure contest was the 2003 Figure International, although before that, they held the NPC Figure Nationals in 2001, which wasn’t a pro event.

So here, based on competitions in 2009 and 2010 so far, and internet popularity, are the top IFBB figure competitors so far in 2010....

Monica Brant

I have already done a Hub on the incredible Monica Brant-Peckham.
Monica was born on October 26, 1970, in Ft. Hood, Texas.
Yes, she's 39 years old and still going strong.
Since I'm only listing 2009 and 2010 here, I have to leave out the fitness contests that she has been in since 1991.
Yes that's 19 years.
But here is what she has done lately....

I guess next year I'll have to take Monica off this list, because she has moved from IFBB to WBFF.

Larissa Reis

Larissa Reis is a Brazilian born personal trainer, nutrition consultant, fitness model.
That is when she's not competing.
She's five feet, five inches tall and weighs between 132 (for a contest) and 139 (off-season).

Her first Pro show was the 2010 Phoenix Pro in Arizona on February 20, 2010.

Another fitness beauty I have done a Hub on, Mindi Smith, comes in at number four.
This five foot eight, 120 pound blonde is making quite a name for herself.

Sarah Connors has only been in two Figure Pro competitions so far, but I SO want to see her enter and win at the Arnold Classic just to see Arnold give the prize to Sarah Connor(s).

Candice John

Trinidad's Candice John has made quite a name for herself as well.
She's been competing here since 2007, and before that she was competing in her homeland, winning the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Body Fitness Championship twice.

This five foot seven, blonde haired green eyed fitness beauty was born on Sept 27, 1971 in Pompano Beach, Florida.
With her looks and build (38-26-36) she could have easily gone into traditional modeling, but she hit the figure competitions instead.
