Meet Bonnie Pfiester
Bonnie Pfiester and her husband Steve, both Florida natives, have been married for almost fourteen years. In addition to being partners for life, they are also business partners, owning and operating Longevity Fitness Club and Spa in Vero Beach, Florida. There's no doubt Steve and Bonnie are passionate about helping others. You can't hide their enthusiasm for helping others toward a healthy lifestyle. Their love for fitness is practically contagious. Steve and Bonnie believe the fitness industry can be intimidating, so they work hard to bridge the gap between the fit and unfit by reaching out. Whether it is supporting fundraisers, speaking at special events or replying to someone's personal email, both Steve and Bonnie do all they can to stay connected with people. "We really aren't in the fitness business, we are in the people business - we just love people", Bonnie Pfiester.
Making a Difference across the Nation
As a fitness columnist, Bonnie is able to get her message out to her community and across America. Steve is also impacting millions through weight loss reality television. Steve was co-host and trainer for ABC's Fat March and is now working on Bridal Bootcamp for Country Music Television. As both Steve and Bonnie spread their wings, they look forward to the opportunity to impacting more lives as their audience continues to grow.
Leading by Example
Bonnie was featured in the February 2008 Club Solutions Magazine (health club industry magazine) for being America's Most Fit Health Club Professional. Bonnie considers this a great honor since she feels the most powerful way to impact others is to lead by example. Although Bonnie doesn't always feel like working out, she knows she has to practice what she preaches, enjoying the added accountability.
Bonnie's lifestyle has even impacted her own family. Bonnie and Steve helped her mother to lose over 90 pounds, her younger sister (at 13) to lose 50lbs, and she even convinced her father to began bodybuilding in his retirement. It was an extreme makeover for the entire family. "There is nothing more rewarding than seeing fitness affect the ones you love most", said Bonnie Pfiester.
Talent
Bonnie has experience in public speaking, modeling, musical performance, television and radio. In addition to fitness, Bonnie has expertise in the beauty industry as once a salon owner, make-up artist and medical skin care practitioner. Bonnie enjoys singing professionally and in her church's band, playing piano, trumpet and drums. As an automobile and motorcycle enthusiast, Bonnie likes being a part of the Corvette Club and riding her custom motorcycle which has been featured in V-Twin Magazine, Motorcycle Cruiser Magazine and Easy Riders. "One of my favorite vacations" Bonnie admits, "is loading our bikes up in our Toy Hauler and hitting the mountains for a week of camping and riding winding roads."
